PearlBound

Pearlbound is an open-world action adventure RPG set in a modern ocean where you mix myths and reality. Players will take the role of the last surviving mermaid and the final heir to the fallen royal bloodline, who was hidden away after a devastating war between humans and the underwater world.

And at the center of this conflict is the Pearl, a living ancient object that sustains all life within the ocean. It was once protected by the mermaid royal family, but the Pearl was stolen by humans seeking to harness its power. In its absence, the ocean started to decay and the mermaids with it, who are bound by its life force.

The game starts with the player in hiding, raised in isolation by a trusted caretaker. When the caretaker becomes critically ill, the player is forced to venture out into the open ocean for the first time, setting off on a journey that will uncover the truth about the war, the Pearl, and what remains.

Blending immersive underwater exploration with real-time combat and deep character customization, PearlBound is a narrative-driven experience structured around a certain storyline, with optional side missions, in a format similar to other open-world games. Players will navigate a fractured ocean, remnants of a broken civilization,n and ultimately decide the fate of the ocean and the human world.

The gameplay will be choice-driven, allowing players to either reclaim the stolen power and reshape the balance between the worlds or let the ocean fade entirely.
